Police Memorium Opening with The Royals
With such regular clients as the Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion, it’s quite commonplace for Cloud One to be catering for royalty all year round, but this month we had the great pleasure of looking after not just one, but two VIP delegates across a series of events in the Midlands. HRHs The Duke of Cambridge and Princess Anne were present at both the opening of the new police memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum and a ceremony to mark the beginning of the new apprenticeship scheme at EEF Energy.
For EEF energy, our fabrications team put in a custom black set with graphics and a curtain to reveal a plaque to commemorate the occasion, plus a custom black lectern. A basic sound and lighting package was used, as well as the hire of around 600 chairs for the audience, largely made up of industry officials and apprentices.
Over to the National Memorial Arboretum with HRH the Duke of Cambridge, where a ceremony was taking place to mark the opening of the new police memorial. With security heightened and the margin for error lowered, we had to design a perfect sound system for the space, as well as suppying a series of risers for the droves of press to stand on.
On top of this, we also teamed up with The Guardian Newspaper to deliver the most recent in their series of evening seminars regarding the effects of Brexit on transport planning. With a custom set and a 10 channel radio microphone package, we filled Birmingham’s council house chambers alongside a panel of VIP delegates and transport officials from the world over.
